# KyoChon Malaysia

> KyoChon is a Korean fried chicken restaurant chain born in Gumi, South Korea in 1991. It was brought to Malaysia in 2013 by Malaysians who believed the fried chicken sold locally was too oily and heavily battered, and that the country deserved better. KyoChon Malaysia operates 35 outlets nationwide and is JAKIM Halal certified. All chicken is cooked fresh to order and contains no MSG or preservatives. The founding belief, still in use: good food equals good life.
